Buddhist Pilgrimage Tour is an enlightening journey allowing pilgrims / tourists to revisit the land that was once walked by Buddha, the awakened. From Delhi, the tourists are transferred to Agra, the city of love and later on taken to the Buddhist pilgrimage of India through Varanasi, the gateway to Sarnath, the site of historic first sermon by Lord Buddha. The journey is continued to Bodhgaya, the epicenter of Buddha's enlightenment, Rajgir (stringed with a number of attractions associated with Buddha), Nalanda (the world's oldest university), Vaishali (where he announced Mahaparinirvana), Kushinagar (the site of final Mahaparinirvana) in Uttar Pradesh. Later, the pilgrimage enters in Lumbini, Nepal (where Lord Buddha was born) and Kapilvastu where he spent his first 29 years as a prince. |

Day 1, Arrival Delhi
Upon arrival in Delhi International Airport, meet Buddhist Train Tour Rep who will assist your transfer to the hotel.

Day 2, Delhi / Agra
After breakfast, continue the drive to Agra (4 hr). Check-in at hotel. Later, visit the world famous Taj Mahal and Agra Fort, the bastions of Mughal majesty during Buddhist pilgrimage tour.

Day 3, Agra / Lucknow
Drive 7 hr / 363 km to Lucknow (with packed lunch). Enroute visit Sankasia where Lord descended from heaven after giving sermon to his mother. Later continue drive to Lucknow during Buddhist pilgrimage tour, Check-in at Hotel. |

Day 4, Lucknow / Varanasi
Early drive 7 hr to Varanasi, check-in at Hotel. Noon is free for shopping etc. O/n stay at Varanasi Hotel |

Day 5, Varanasi (B/L/D)
Early morning, begin the boat ride on River Ganges to witness the majestic bathing ghats. Later visit Sarnath (where Buddha delivered his first sermon). Afternoon is free for your shopping etc. Overnight stay in Varanasi. | |

Day 6, Varanasi / Bodhgaya (B/L/D)
Drive 4 hr approx. / 243 km to Bodhgaya. Check-in at Hotel.

Day 7, Bodhgaya
Morning visit Mahabodhi Temple & Bodhi Tree, Great Buddha Statue, Niranjana River, Sujata Temple - which is across the Niranja river & it's 30 minutes walk through the paddy fields. Also visit various other Buddhist Temples of Bodhgaya Tour with Buddhist Pilgrimage Tour.

Day 8, Bodhgaya / Rajgir / Nalanda / Bodhgaya (220 kms / 6-7 hrs drive)
Morning leave for Rajgir famous for Griddhakutta - Vulture Hill, World Peace Stupa, Bamboo's Garden, Saptaparni Caves, etc. Continue on your Buddhist Pilgrimage Tour to Nalanda to visit the ruins of world's oldest university and center of Buddhist learning. Later drive back to Bodhgaya for overnight stay. |

Day 9, Bodhgaya / Vaishali / Kushinagar
Drive to Kushinagar from Vaishali enroute visiting Vaishali & enjoy hot lunch on the way. (169 km / approx 3 hr drive). On arrival, check in at the hotel.

Day 10, Kushinagar / Lumbini
Visit Mahaparinirvana Temple, where Buddha took his last breath, Rambhar Stupa; cremation site of Lord Buddha and Japanese Temple during Buddhist Pilgrimage Tour. Afternoon drive 5 hrs / 170 km to Lumbini (Nepal) with packed lunch. While going to Lumbini, stop at India/Nepal border for Visa/Immigration formalities. Later check-in at Hotel. 15 Min. drive from the Nepal Border. Noon visit Lumbini, the birthplace of the Buddha symbolized by the presence of Mayadevi Temple, Pushkarini Pond and Ashokan Pillar inscription.

Day 11, Lumbini / Kapil Vastu / Sravasti
After breakfast, continue morning drive for Sravasti. Enroute visit ruins of the palaces in Kapilavastu, where Buddha spent his childhood,. Later continue drive to Sravasti & on arrival, check-in at hotel. Later visit Sravasti, where Buddha spent his 24 monsoons. Visit Jetvana, Ananda Bodhi Tree during the Buddhist Pilgrimage Tour.

Day 12, Sravasti / Lucknow / Delhi
Drive 195 km/ 5-6 hr to Lucknow. Lunch at Lucknow. Thereafter transfer to Railway station to board Shatabdi train to Delhi, Dep. 15:35 hrs. Arrive Delhi 22:05 hr. Dinner will be served on board and transfer to hotel.
Overnight in Delhi.

Day 13, Delhi / Departure
After breakfast, visit the city of Delhi visiting, Lakshmi Narayan temple, Gandhi Museum. Drive past India Gate, Presidents' house "Rashtrapati Bawan", the Government buildings and the Parliament house "Lok Sabha" Lunch at local restaurant. After lunch, transfer to Airport to connect flight for onward destination time to say goodbye for Buddhist pilgrimage tour.
